OBEY / DISOBEY
“Design two printed A3 typographic posters, one which uses a grid building block system and one which doesn’t.”
A set of risographed posters exploring the principles of Swiss Design. One following the limitations and rules of Swiss design and the other breaking them.
There’s a better movement to the disobey poster, it flows down the page and has a nice rhythm to how your eyes move downwards. The thinner line illustration pairs well with the bold text. I wanted the layout and diagonal illustration to guide the eyes around the page. The obey poster was more of a rigid design, I still wanted it to be somewhat playful in interpretation of the Rollo May quote, but still visually represent the grid efectively.
